A Warm Winnipeg Welcome for the Fictionknitsas
Charlene Diehl and a capacity audience welcome the Fictionknitsas to Winnipeg.
Faith Johnston leads off the Winnipeg event with a reading from The Only Man in the World.
Nicole Dixon takes responsibility for the wet weather and flood warnings caused by the title of her book, High-Water Mark.
Oops. Momentarily distracted by the delicious dainties provided by Prairie Ink Café at McNally Robinson Booksellers. Mmmmmm!
Lisa Bird-Wilson wins out over the dainties, with the audience attentive to the heart-rending details in her reading.
Dora Dueck models one of the 2 (!) lovely scarves made by her knitter Cheryl Anne Rector while she reads from What You Get at Home.
Our knitters in the audience. No idle hands here… and it’s so much easier to knit when you’re listening rather than reading. None of those pesky pages to turn!
Charlene Diehl puts the questions to the Fictionknitsas. Some surprising answers!
